Lyne Down Cider produces small-batch cider and apple juice from fruit grown in its traditional, unsprayed orchards. The apples are picked and pressed by hand at Lyne Down, producing an Orchard Blend from a mix of varieties alongside a number of single-variety ciders, each showcasing the individual character of the cider apples grown there. Pure apple juice is also pressed from fruit picked in the orchard.
Visitors can enjoy cider tastings and sales throughout the weekend, explore the orchard at harvest time, say hello to Donkeys Bob and Gary and wander up to the hay stone circle and hay meadow for wonderful views towards May Hill.
There will be hot food, homemade cake, tea and proper coffee, with the cosy Cider Barn providing a lovely place to sit, eat and drink whatever the weather brings.
Live music is part of the weekend at Lyne Down, with David Riley performing on Saturday evening. A brilliant live performer with a fantastic voice and a wide-ranging repertoire, David always creates a great atmosphere – and usually gets a few people dancing too!
Then on Sunday afternoon, Uke Can’t Be Serious will bring their ukuleles and music to the Cider Barn, perfect for a relaxed Sunday afternoon with a glass of cider.
